[ January 12th - 15th ] Have you not learned by now?: It is foolish to look back with regret.
Translation?: If your character has ever majorly regretted something that happened in their past, that regret has disappeared because whatever caused it didn’t happen. Did your character regret saying something they wished they could take back because it might change a relationship or opportunity? Consider it done. Do you regret that your parents divorced (as Fitz did/does)? Congratulations (or not), they never did. Your character will now be an AU version of the person they could have been if one regret simply never had a reason to exist.
Character: Leo Fitz

[ February 1st - 3rd ] If it feels good, why stop?: The time and the place are right for it.
Translation?: For the duration of the event, the Mansion has become a Japanese love hotel. Love hotels are exactly what they sound like: a hotel couples go to for one night to have some, ahem, adult fun. The rooms of this love hotel vary quite a bit from one to the next, and there’s something for everyone--even if all you want to do is sleep.
The network will be functional and closets in the rooms will provide pre-packaged foods to get everyone through the event. There is no kitchen and, most important, there is no leaving the hotel.
Note: Mature themes are not a requirement for this event. There is no compulsion to, um, make use of the facilities.

[ February 23rd - 25th ] How does that make you feel? Sometimes confession will help.
Translation?: Over the course of the event, anyone who has a guilty conscious will be trapped in a loop, replaying their worst moment over and over again for anyone to see. They will know that they're repeating the moment, but they can't change anything and the outcome is always the same as it always was, no matter how hard they try to alter the situation.
But moral relativism is real here. If your conscience is clear, you're home free, and you're free to wander through the hellscapes of other peoples' guiltiest memories. People can't be pulled out of their loops, but if someone else comes in and helps them work through their guilt, they'll find the way out has been there all along and find themselves free to leave the loop.

[ April 6th - 8th ] Directions may lead you directly in the right direction. Or not. Listen…
Translation?:Overnight, several people have seemingly disappeared from Wonderland. Their rooms are still occupied by their things, leaving the impression that they were spirited away in the night. No one is in their usual haunts. Where could they have gone?
Maybe these new items will be able to help! Those who remain will be given temporary custody of one seemingly random magic item. These tools can come in all forms, from traditional magic items to magical versions of everyday objects, to more esoteric devices tailored to their function, and they can do all kinds of wondrous things as well. You could have a good old-fashioned wand that can reshape stone, or an instrument that plays music by itself, or a book that displays its information by request, or a sword that shoots fireballs on command because who doesn't love those? The one limitation is that they all require user input; none of these items can be automatic or always-on. Fortunately, this is sophisticated magic, and usage can always be as simple as giving verbal commands (though it can be more idiosyncratic if you like). Each item will come with a basic instruction sheet.
Now, if you happened to be familiar with all of the missing people, and had all of these items on hand to examine, you might start to notice some correlations. Indeed, you would find that each item is themed after one of those people to some extent. Maybe the tool's function embodies one of their powers or specialties; that self-playing instrument might relate to an actual musician, and the book might reflect someone's actual knowledge. Or the resemblance might be merely aesthetic, because somewhere on each item, there is some sort of symbol, component or design element that truly represents that person. Why, it's almost like those missing friends are still with you!
The horrible truth is that the missing people ARE their artifacts, trapped and helpless as they supply those amazing magical properties. Worse, although they are fully aware of what's going on, they can't do anything beyond the tool's functionality. At the start of the event, these poor souls will be completely restricted to following commands or otherwise being used, and the only agency they have is in finding loopholes to exploit (for instance by creatively interpreting an open-ended command). If stuck in there long enough, however, by the end they might manage to take a little more control and begin to activate on their own. Finding ways to communicate is going to be easier in some cases than others, but a cooperative "owner" can always try to help out. ("Fire one laser for yes, two for no...")
On the bright side, it's not really that hard to guess that the items are people, and the general population is bound to catch on. As it happens, all of the trapped people know how to free them, and those on the outside should be able to work it out well enough -- those instructions DID mention disassembly, right? All one has to do is figure out who's in the item, and then remove the piece that represents them. That might be easy for someone whose representation is obvious and who ends up in the hands of friends, but otherwise, it's going to take experimentation and collaboration to get everyone accounted for. But hey, some jerk could always decide they'd rather just enjoy their cool new toy.

[ April 26th - 30th ] Ugh! This place is just so...bad! I don’t even remember what I was going to say anymore!
Translation?: Welcome to the Good Place! Your character, tragically, has died in their world. But it’s okay because conveniently they have earned enough points to go to the Good Place when they die! They’ve earned a house that they have been told is perfectly suited to them (it is probably not, but who are they to question the universe?!) in an absolutely delightful and quaint little neighborhood with a frozen yogurt shop on every block. It’s almost irritatingly perfect!
Most importantly though, someone will be living with your character. Someone very, very special - their soulmate, hand-picked from the billions on Earth! Sure, it may not be who (or even what) they expected, but this is what they’ve earned from the good life they’ve lived in your world. They deserve this! They really, truly do.
Except, the longer your character spends in this sickeningly perfect world, the more they’ll be able to see the cracks in the story they’re being told. Characters, especially ones who are particularly perceptive, will quickly come to realize that this isn’t the good place! No, they’re not even dead (except the ones who already happened to be) - this is just Wonderland messing with their heads and torturing them with a deliberately mediocre afterlife with a soul mate picked to be an awful match!
Will they be able to convince the others of the truth? Or is everyone doomed to be miserably trying to make the best of their eternity in "The Good Place" until the event ends?

[ May 11th - 14th ] Perfectly Balanced As all things should be.
Translation?: Someone (or something) is on the hunt for two Infinity Stones. On the morning of May 11th, the residents will wake up to Dropships (think spaceships) on the horizon. Without much warning, they will crash in the Checkerboard Hills, releasing countless numbers of Outriders. Outriders are an alien species, and they are relentless.
They can be killed in conventional ways, but there’s a hoard of them, and for two days, it doesn’t look good for our mansion residents. The aliens never stop to rest, and they do attack to kill. Get in their way as whatever summoned them searches for two missing Infinity Stones, and it’s very likely you could die. They have teeth and claws to rip you apart and can run both upright and on all fours. The mansion itself isn’t safe, but it is possible to barricade yourself. If they know where you are, they will throw themselves at your barricade (even a magical one) until it either breaks/fails or someone wipes out whatever has gathered at your location. They do have some sense of self-preservation and will run from a direct attack. Killing them isn’t difficult to do; it’s simply the sheer number of them. Closets and any powers your characters have will work as normal.
On the third day, for all to see, the two missing stones will be found by exactly the entity no one wants to find them. Once they’re in place, the new owner will simply snap their fingers to wipe out as much life as possible. As for who or what does the snapping, you’ll have to see.
Half (or however many people volunteer) of Wonderland’s population along with all of the Outriders will begin to turn to dust and fade away. They will disappear limb by limb, slowly and then all at once until only ash is left.
The fourth day is aftermath. A large number of people in the mansion are gone; there aren’t even bodies to watch over to be sure they return. When the event is over, everyone who disappeared in the Snap will return in their own beds, wherever that may be.
For this event, death by Outrider will count as a mansion death, however, if your character dies in the Snap it will NOT count. The characters will not know the Snap doesn’t count against them.

[ June 28th - July 1st ] But they're always trying to test you, aren't they?: You'd better come prepared.
Translation?: As of Friday, everyone is a student at rural Yasogami High School. All characters will believe that they are students and that they are from the rural town of Inaba, Japan. You're free to maintain relationships with other characters however you'd like, but no one will have memories of their own world or of Wonderland.
As a Japanese high school, Yasogami is made up of three grades with students from 16-18 years of age, depending on what year they're in. Players who play adult characters can choose to de-age their characters to be students, or may choose to have them be teachers (characters who are 18 or under are students automatically). For teachers, class topics include Japanese, English, math, science, social studies, and history, among others. There are also staff positions such as nurse (there are notably no janitors--students are expected to keep the school clean themselves).
Students attend classes six days a week, Monday-Saturday, and they're expected to wear their summer uniforms (or track suit apparently?) whenever school is in session. All the students live in a dorm where each person has his or her own room, and they attend classes in the neighboring school building. First year classrooms are on the first floor, second years are on the second floor, and, of course, third years are on the third floor (students remain in the same classroom all day, and it's the teachers who move from place to place). There is a library on the second floor, nurse's office and staff room on the first floor, and access to the roof from the third floor. Club rooms are located in a separate two-story room, and there's also a gym and practice fields.
The first three days of the event are normal: classes on Friday and Saturday, with a day off on Sunday. Come Monday, though, it's time for exams. Hope you studied for them over the weekend!
A few other notes:
- Neither students nor teachers/staff may leave school grounds and go into town. Students have no particular wish to do so and teachers/staff have to remain there to watch the kiddies.
- No one has any special powers during the event. Everyone is a "normal" human being.

[ August 3rd - 5th ] After all, I’m her biggest fan!: What would you dress as? Or who?
Translation?: This is an AU event! Welcome to Santa Barbara. Nicknamed the American Riviera, it's a cozy seaside city that can often feel like a small town. And you get to be here during its most exciting weekend - the Santa Barbara Comic Con!
Whether you come from out of town or are a Santa Barbara native, there is plenty to do in the convention center and surrounding city. Maybe you are there to cosplay, attend panels, or meet your favorite comic book creator. You might even be a guest yourself, be it a well-known illustrator or an easily overlooked character actor.
If conventions aren't your thing, there are plenty of other activities around town, whether you want to run one of the food trucks down by the pier or take advantage of the tourists with expensive tchotchkes. You could use the weekend to pick up extra hours at your comfortable pharmaceutical company job. If inclined, you can help out convention security as one of Santa Barbara's finest, the totally and completely 100% competent officers of the SBPD who do not at all whatsoever rely on a psychic to help solve a staggering percentage of crimes.
There's more to Santa Barbara than just surf and sun, though. You might be more drawn to the seedy underbelly of the city and make your living smuggling drugs, stealing cars, and robbing department stores. In which case, the convention could prove to be a convenient cover for your clandestine operations!
No matter what, you can look forward to a relaxing weekend of beautiful beaches, fun cosplay opportunities, and delicious street food. All you have to do is ignore Santa Barbara's disturbingly high murder rate.
Easier said than done, though, since day two will bring about, you guessed it - death!
When a fanmade, life-sized statue of the coolest new superhero, the Blue Revenger, falls and kills one of the convention's headlining guests, some assume it's an accident while others suspect something far more sinister. Where do you stand? Are you one of the police officers on the case, or would you rather offer your assistance as a consultant? Will you ignore the yellow tape and enjoy your weekend? Or are you just going to take advantage of the chaos to help nudge the murder rate up a tad on your own?
Are you destined to be the next victim, or will you be one who survives... under Santa Barbara skies?

[ August 24th - 27th ] Do you believe in happy endings?: Or happily ever after?
Translation?:What does happily ever after look like for your character? What would they be like if they achieved all of their dreams, accomplished all of their goals, and found a little bit of happiness and contentment in their lives?
This is a Good End AU - each character will be an alternate version of themselves, one that has achieved what a “good ending” would be for them. Maybe the course of events changed so that their canon went better for them! Maybe they think they’re from a point after the current conflict in their lives is resolved. They worked hard and fought hard and all of it paid off, to get them where they are today. These good endings will be fairly realistic - no one’s won the lottery or married a rich billionaire or become a movie star after being spotted on the street, nothing that would flag as completely fantastic and out of the ordinary. It wasn’t always easy and remembering struggle will make it seem all the more real.
Or, perhaps, you’re one of a select few who seems to be unaffected. Some people have already found their happiness! If a character’s only current conflict is being stuck in Wonderland, they will be unaffected by this event, and maybe wondering why all of their friends seem so happy for once.

[ November 8th-11th ] It’s rather frightening in the dark though.: And I admit it’s rather eerie.
Translation?: When the event begins, everything outdoors-- structures, the forest, automobiles, even the roof of the mansion itself --suddenly appears horribly damaged. Anything that isn't cemented into the ground looks like it has been lifted into the air and dropped from a great height. The interior is unscathed, but it’s rather jarring outside.
As the day progresses, sightings of a great, flying creature occur, and those brave enough to follow it back to what appears to be its home base will discover a cave has appeared in the forest. Inside, gigantic, prehistoric-looking plants are growing everywhere, becoming more and more lush the deeper you go. Eventually, explorers will stumble upon dinosaurs and other ancient creatures trapped in amber-- amber that is melting more and more by the minute.
Eventually, the inevitable occurs - the other dinosaurs start to break free and roam the grounds of Wonderland. It all happens quickly from there - by the end of the second day, all of the dinosaurs will have broken free from the amber, and they are all incredibly hungry.
