[ January 5th - 9th ] Anywhere light doesn't touch, there's a shadow: and they always, always follow you.
Translation?: See this post for details!
Character: Seta Souji
World: Persona 4
+ all the characters from the world 'Persona 4', upon waking, will feel woozy for a moment. The phrase 'Magatsu Inaba' is missing from their memories.
[ January 21st - 24th ] Who might your friends be: all who smile, deceivers.
Translation?: See this post for details!

World: Okami
+ all the characters from the world ‘Okami,’ upon waking, will feel woozy for a moment. The phrase ‘Gale Shrine’ is missing from their memories.
[ February 9th - 12th ] It's really a shame that someone would waste it like that to begin with: There's more than enough food now, but will there always be?
Translation?: On the 9th, the mansion and its grounds will suddenly become horribly polluted. The grass is brittle and dead, any animals that might have been on the grounds are gone, and there are no trees left in the forest – only tiny stumps. The sky is dark with smogulous smoke and the air hurts to breath. The ocean is entirely some sort of gluppity glop and with each wave more trash winds up on the beach.
No one is safer inside though. The smogulous smog is so thick in the halls that the air is barely breathable, and the only thing that comes out of the faucets is thick, black, schloppity schlop. Any fresh food in the closets or kitchen will be shriveled, blackened, and rotting. The power’s gone out, and it seems like it’s been out for a while. The only things that will be unharmed are manufactured goods – bottled water, prepackaged food, supplies like gas masks and flashlights, cans of things, and so on.
However, those products are in limited supply. The mansion will only be able to produce them on the 9th and the 10th. After that, on the 11th and the 12th, the closets will go silent, and the mansion will not provide you with anything else to help you. Hopefully you grabbed enough water and food, or else have fun starving for the next few days.

[ February 28th – March 3rd ] A spoon full of sugar, as they say : You’re going to need a lot of spoons...
Translation?: On the 28th, the mansion becomes a slightly run down hospital. Crappy hospital food will be provided. Unexplored rooms are dangerous, as are shelves. Syringes of Horrace's poison are hidden in precarious spots. Stick your hand in a drawer? BAM! Likely to be full of needles. Other rooms are booby-trapped with poison in various ways. Maybe a room has a pit in the middle filled with it? Maybe the drink you found is tainted? Maybe that delicious cupcake your eating is toxic? Maybe your shower suddenly spits out bright green toxic goo? Be creative, the idea is basically poison, poison everywhere! Eating anything the mansion gives you is a dangerous game.
Being pricked by a needle isn't enough to make your character REALLY sick, just sick enough to feel like something is seriously wrong with them. Drinking, eating or getting a lot of skin contact with the poison will cause death fairly quickly. How quickly is up to you, but it's fairly fast acting. The toxin is effectively tasteless, but it's green. So avoid green food and food heavily artificially covered to hide the greenness!
The poison systematically shuts down every single organ, along with hatching a tapeworm like organism in the heart. Not cool!
As the day progresses, some weird stuff starts going down, namely giant bugs (centipedes, roaches, spiders, etc). These bugs aren't hostile and will just skitter away if confronted.
As time goes on, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, the chances of receiving poisoned food from the mansion increases.
Character: Alan Probe
World: Amateur Surgeon
+ all the characters from the world ‘Amateur Surgeon,’ upon waking, will feel woozy for a moment. The phrase ‘Horrace’ is missing from their memories.
[ March 17th - 19th ] Wind passes right through my skin: I am the target of nothing.
Translation?: Over the course of the event, and increasing in frequency as the days go on, objects will fall out of the sky and hit mansion residents. The objects should be whatever is most humiliating for that person to be hit by.
At first, the objects don't hit hard enough to do much more than cause surprise, but over time they seem to come from further and further away, at greater and greater speeds, and therefore they do more and more damage. By the end of the event, a person who is hit will be nothing but a smoking crater.
If a person manages to see the object coming, they can dodge it, but towards the end of the event, the objects will be moving so fast that this will be very difficult to pull off. Objects target residents even if they are inside, so hiding inside won't ensure safety. In fact, it might create more danger, because the victim won't see it coming!
Character: George Lass
World: Dead Like Me
+ all the characters from the world ‘Dead Like Me’, upon waking, will feel woozy for a moment. The word ‘collating' is missing from their memories.
[ March 29th - 31st ] The whole world is getting uglier: Bit by bit.
Translation?: On Friday morning, characters will find that one of their main five senses has gone a little haywire. Specifically, everything seen, smelled, touched, tasted, or heard will be completely repulsive to them. If the character's vision is affected, everything will appear to be made of pulsing organs and flesh, as seen here, including humans, who have become Lovecraftian horrors. An affected sense of hearing will make movements sound like the squelching and pulsing of entrails and voices will be terrifying to listen to. If taste is affected, normal food and drink will taste rotten and putrid (likewise, if smell is affected, everything from flowers to people will spell rotten and putrid); the only thing that will taste good, if anyone stumbles upon this solution, is raw human flesh and organs. Finally, an affected sense of touch will make everything feel like slippery, rubbery, warm entrails.
In a bewildering bit of irony, all but that one sense will remain normal. Meaning the pulsing, dripping walls feel normal to the touch; that delicious sandwich only smells like the meat has started to decay; and a good friend's voice is not one of the most terrifying sounds you've ever heard.
Character: Sakisaka Fuminori
World: Song of Saya
+ all the characters from the world ‘Song of Saya’, upon waking, will feel woozy for a moment. The word ‘neurology' is missing from their memories.
[ April 12th - 15th ] If no one cuts, chops, tears, breaks, scars, or mars it...: it'll stay that way, every day.
Translation?: Wonderland has been transformed into somewhere much more colorful! Welcome to the Truffula Valley. There are rolling hills and brightly colored trees with soft fur for leaves as far as the eye can see. The mansion itself is gone, and there don’t seem to be any buildings or towns around for miles, but in a clearing there are groups of tents. But don’t worry if you’re not a fan of camping! These are cottage-tents, and while they look a little shabby on the outside, they’re fully stocked with a comfortable bed, a kitchen, and more than enough food for the event. Also, each cottage-tent has a working mansion-style magic closet. There’s one for each occupied room (including tents for any roomless characters), but you’re more than welcome to share.
Much like the normal version of Wonderland, if you wander too far in any direction you’ll only be brought back to the clearing with the cottage-tents. There’s nothing very dangerous in the forest though. There are three kinds of animals - Bar-Ba-Loots, Swomee-Swans, and Humming-Fish, but they’re so harmless they’re almost domesticated. They’re very playful and they like sneaking into people’s cottage-tents and eating their food and stealing their stuff. Even the fish. The fish can walk on land and sing; don’t question Dr. Suess. The animals also really like sweets, whether it’s truffula berries or a giant bag of marshmallows.
There’s also a river where the ocean used to be. It’s crystal-clear if anyone feels like going for a swim (it will be mysteriously warm enough, despite it only being April). However, it is a flowing river, and it will sweep you away if you aren’t careful. There’s a waterfall a little ways down, and if you survive that, well. You’ll somehow wind up back exactly where you started, like a water ride.
And that’s it! No mean tricks to this one – just a nice retreat to a very peaceful place for a few days.
Character: The Once-ler
World: The Lorax
+ all the characters from the world ‘The Lorax’, upon waking, will feel woozy for a moment. The word ‘bar-ba-loot' is missing from their memories.
[ May 18th - 20th ] Oh, but I wonder what’s going to happen next?: I'm about as curious as a goldfish in the big wide ocean.
Translation?: When everyone cracks their eyes open like eggs in a skillet on Saturday morning, they’ll notice there’s something a little off. Kind of like a stack of hay in a needle factory. Something just ain’t right.
That something, of course, is the fact that no one can help talking in bizarre metaphors. Or similies or allegories or proverbs or anything else in that literary fruit basket. Everyone will have trouble saying things directly. Some of it might make sense if you sit and stare at it like it’s paint on a wet wall. Others might be real sayings used out of context, because everyone knows the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Most of it’s not going to make any damn sense at all and confuse the H-E-double-heck out of the person who said it. But they can’t stop doing it for the next three days, and it’s gonna feel about as long as Merlin’s longest beard hair. But us muns will have a good cackle over it like hens clucking over sweet bacon.

[ May 31st - June 3rd ] I won't know until I try...: ...for science's sake...
Translation?: The theme of this weekend is SCIENCE CAN BE FUN! For the duration of this event, everyone will be compelled to carry out experiments! Their lives will be fueled by a newfound curiosity and thirst for knowledge that they might not have had before.
It will start out small on the first day. The compulsion to experiment will be light at first. Maybe just some ordinary science experiments, or trying something new just to see what happens. But as the event continues that urge will get stronger and stronger. They will be compelled to do stranger, more outrageous, more dangerous experiments. The more extreme it is, the more satisfying it will be to carry it out! Even if the experiment isn't successful…or survivable.
Stumped for ideas? The closets will help you out! They’ll give you random assortments of things that you could potentially carry out experiments with, because we can’t very well let you not spend your weekend devoted to SCIENCE now, can we? And who knows? With all of the mysteries of the mansion, you might discover something useful!
Due to high test subject mortality rates, any fatalities during testing will not be counted as a Mansion death. Because regard for things like 'health' and 'safety' get in the way of progress!
Character: Chell
World: Portal
+ all the characters from the world ‘Portal’, upon waking, will feel woozy for a moment. The word ‘lemon' is missing from their memories.
[ June 14th - 17th ] That's just it's nature: If a shadow isn't just a copy-cat, then what is it?
Translation?:Everyone has some part of themself that they hide. They may be in denial about it or they might be purposely keeping it in under wraps because they don't want others to see it or they themselves don't like it.
When this event begins on Friday, each person in the Mansion will discover that this hidden part of him or her has taken form as a yellow-eyed double who looks and dresses just like them. This double is the character's "Shadow", representing the hidden parts of the character. The characters and the Shadows aren't meant to battle it out for supremacy, though.
Instead, the Shadow simply follows the character, responding to things that happen to the character as though they were happening to the Shadow directly, and responding with the honest emotions and hang ups that the character would normally repress in a given situation.
The Shadows can't be hurt or killed (all attempts to hurt them will bounce away harmlessly). Worse yet? They're aware of this. ♥ They have no intention of attacking the character either (though they'll certainly taunt and argue). They're just there to get things out in the open.

World: Persona 4
+ all the characters from the world ‘Persona 4’, upon waking, will feel woozy for a moment. The phrase ‘thou are I' is missing from their memories.
[ June 29th - July 1st ] If you could be any you, who would you be?: Would you do it? What if you had to; what would you pick then?
Translation?: Over the course of the event, everyone will be forced to act out various stereotypical roles and common tropes. The setting immediately around them will change randomly into settings from cliche popular media, complete with mediocre side-character NPCs who will never break character. It will become clear very quickly that they are expected to act out a particular role in the scene. They might be expected to be a tough cop, or a handsome sexy doctor, or someone’s evil twin come back from the dead, or any number of terrible tropes – and these tropes do not necessarily have anything to do with who the character is or what they do for a living. They could be the most innocent person and suddenly find themselves forced into the role of a hardened criminal.
Those savvy to genres and pop culture might realize it more quickly than those who have never seen a movie or television show in their life, but the scene will depend on them playing along. If they don’t not only will the scene keep going, but they will face consequences from the setting itself. The scene will begin to work against them, targeting them with horrible things. Their character will be the one to be told they have a rare disease from that trip to Africa they never took, or the one who suddenly has a gun pulled on them, or the one who gets kicked where the sun doesn't shine. Generally speaking, the goal is to embarrass them or cause them as much pain as possible until they play along.
This will be made worse by the fact these scenes are not private hallucinations – they are there in Wonderland for all to see. It will only extend as far as the character can see, but if they attempt to walk off set the scene will follow them down the hall, as if they’re trapped inside a bubble. The person (or people, for those who enjoy making their characters jointly suffer through buddy-cop shows and gaudy romances) in the scene will not be able to escape it until they have acted the role for at least the length of that scene. However, others who are uninvolved can walk through them freely without being pulled into the scenes – maybe your blatant Full House ripoff is the only thing in between them and their breakfast in the kitchen, or maybe they just enjoy laughing at the misfortune of others.
If a character does successfully figure out what role they are supposed to play and plays out the scene, the scene will disappear completely and they will be free to be themselves once more…unless they get themselves caught in a different scene, of course.

[ July 20th – July 22nd ] It’s only going to get louder with all your whining and sincerity: and it’s going to be maddeningly difficult to get any peace and quiet here!
Translation?: For this event, no one can tell any lies. No one can deceive anyone, no matter how much they want to. If they try, only the truth will come out. Everyone will be forced to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth for the duration of the event. Characters who are already normally honest will be more forthcoming than usual – more compelled to share information that they might normally not share, or express thoughts and feelings that they might normally keep to themselves. No one will be able to keep any secrets.
This event affects characters on the Real Side of the mansion only – characters on the Mirror Side of the mansion are exempt from the effects of this event.

[ August 3rd - 5th ] Use the time you have and survive: I believe in you.
Translation?: Hellhounds are coming for a visit! For the first day of the event, residents will hear crazy howling coming from the direction of the forest, but it's off in the distance. If anyone investigates, they won't be able to find the source of the howling.
On the morning of the second day, the hounds approach the mansion. They are invisible, only able to be seen by demons, but they can certainly be heard by their growls, snarls, and barking. They aren't the most delicate of beasts, so there will be plenty of broken furniture and doors as they charge around inside the Mansion.
Hellhounds take no prisoners. They attack viciously and woe betide those who end up in the same room as one. A death by hellhound is nasty and probably slightly traumatizing, if remembered. Here is what one would expect when a hellhound comes near.
There are defenses against them: lining plenty of salt along doorways and windows, or even standing in a circle of it can keep them at bay. They can also be blown to high heaven, if one can rig up a bomb big enough. Barring a door very well can also help, but hellhounds are strong and tenacious, so they'll eventually break it down. They just won't stop once they have someone's scent.

[ August 16th - 19th ] Of course I'll start again, what choice do I have?: But you had better do better this time!
Translation?: Upon waking, everyone will remember their lives as if they'd made a different major choice in their homeworlds (Harry Potter asked to be sorted into Slytherin, the Homestuck kids never played Sburb, Jay never watched the Marble Hornets tapes,...). Their appearances, abilities, and even their memories in Wonderland will be altered to fit their new lives, as if they'd always been this way, and no amount of arguing or logic will convince them that all of this is a lie.
And why would someone try to tell them it's a lie? Because the changes to their lives only affect themselves, and they'll still remember everyone else in the Mansion as they always have been. The only exception to this rule is characters from the same canon, who will remember their castmates as they would be in their altered memories — and even so, that doesn't mean they'll all have the same alterations.
Character: Elsword
World: Elsword
+ all the characters from the world ‘Elsword’, upon waking, will feel woozy for a moment. The word ‘Red Knights' is missing from their memories.
[ September 6th - 10th ] They'll be spilt, and unlike milk, no one's going to want to lick them up once they are: After all, I'm certainly not sticking around for it.
Translation?: Regardless of where they were the night before, all characters wake up in a bedroom inside the Mansion on September 6th. Other than the clothes on their backs and any items they normally have on their person, their personal belongings are gone. The mansion has changed form into a Japanese high school with garish wallpaper and carpeting, and each character's rooms has changed into a plain, but serviceable dormitory room with an attached bathroom.
On the end table next to the bed is a letter:
Good morning, you bastards! Welcome to your new home!
Because of your wonderful talents, you’ve been invited to attend this prestigious academy, and enjoy a peaceful school life from within these walls. Don’t bother looking for a way out - escape is impossible, and no help is coming. But why would you want to escape? You have everything you need right here!
You have nothing to fear, being surrounded by your fellow students. Surely, these are people you trust dearly. Shouldn’t they be people you would trust with your greatest secrets and most humiliating memories? Of course they should! That’s why many of you will find a second envelope here with such great gems from your past! In one week’s time, all of these juicy secrets will be revealed to the whole school! Ah, knowing your friends will accept you even knowing these secrets... doesn’t that fill you with hope?
What’s that? You bastards don’t want your secrets revealed? In that case, we have graciously provided another option: any student who kills another student will have their secrets kept safe! If you keep yourself from getting found out, nobody even has to know you had a secret in the first place!
But there’s no way such a deliciously despair-inducing thing would happen, is there? No way will you have to live with that blood on your hands! No way will you suffer the ultimate betrayal from a dear friend! Aren’t these the things you would tell yourself to keep from sinking into the ultimate despair of paranoia and distrust?
Do your friends have secrets they are willing to kill for? Or maybe, do you...? Finding this out firsthand is this week’s assignment!
Please enjoy our quiet gruesome school life! Let’s all do our best!
Many particularly unlucky characters find a second envelope which, quite plainly, spells out one their most humiliating memories or secrets in a mere sentence or two. This secret can range in severity from simply embarrassing (like a history of wetting the bed) to dark and life-altering (such as being responsible for a great tragedy), but it is a real and true thing about the character. Characters are convinced that the secret will be revealed to the Mansion unless they kill someone; though they can resist or ignore this feeling, there is no question in each character's mind that the secret will be revealed.
The layout of the school is fairly standard, and includes a cafeteria, classrooms, a gymnasium, an indoor pool, an infirmary, and all the other trappings that a fully-functioning Japanese high school would be expected to have. All windows and exits are barred with thick iron plates. They are completely indestructible, even against the most powerful characters. All methods of escape are impossible. The cafeteria provides food, much like the mansion’s kitchen does. The magical aspects of the closets will not function during this event; anything characters might want or need will have to be scrounged from the various rooms in the school.
Each dorm room’s door is adorned with a pixel art rendition of that room’s resident, as well as the resident’s name. Should that resident be killed, their passing will be marked with a red “X” painted over their portrait.
Any characters who are killed during the event do not return until the event is over. All deaths count as Mansion deaths.

[ September 20th-23rd ] Is there something that makes them super?: I suppose what I'm asking is...could anyone do it?
Translation?: When the event starts, everyone will find themselves not in the mansion, but in THE CITY OF WONDERLAND - it is a dark and gritty city where crime runs rampant. Everyone will believe that they have always lived in this city (and everyone will all conveniently be living in apartments on the same block) and will have corresponding alternate memories to go along with it.
However, it’s not quite as simple as that. For some characters, their reaction to the events in their (lives) will be…different. More extreme. In other words, any tragedy, difficulty, or maybe even moment when they’ve suffered wrong-doing will inspire them to either become a SUPERHERO or a SUPERVILLAIN. Anyone without something that could drive them to superhero-dom or supervillainy will be a CIVILIAN and they make very excellent targets for villains and might require some saving.
This event will be an on-going battle between the superheroes, bent on vigilante justice, and the supervillains, bent on chaos and destruction and just ruining as many lives as they can. Everyone is free to team up with others or defend the night as a lone warrior, but people will be protective of their “secret identities”. It would be bad if all of your enemies found out who you really are, after all. Feel free to destroy as much of this fictional city as you would like in epic battles – however, no one will be able to leave the city of Wonderland. It is conveniently on an island without any bridges – but why would you want to leave anyway? You have heroes to crush or villains to defeat!

World: The Dark Knight Rises
+ all the characters from the world ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, upon waking, will feel woozy for a moment. The word ‘reckoning’ is missing from their memories.
[ October 3rd - 7th ] What harm could a little curiosity possibly do? T'is cold there, ever so cold...
Translation? On the first day of the event you wake up in a mine. No rooms, no closets, no network; just dirt, dust, crates and the occasional office or storage room. Getting hungry? Maybe you'll get lucky and stumble across some canned goods from the late 60s or a pack of beef jerky. Thirsty? Melt some ice or hope the gunk coming from that tap does more good than harm. Want to talk to everybody about your crappy situation? Too bad! No network means no transmissions, and the only way you'll be able to interact with anybody is if you run into them in person. Oh, and you know what else you won't have other than a change of clothing for the next few days? Any of your special powers or weapons. Yep, just a regular, old bunch of humans trapped underground. So. Have fun with that.
Because on the second day you'll hear the sound of an explosion, and another part of the mine will open up. Concrete tunnels, old and semi-functional machinery, what more could you possibly want? Well, how about feral zombie dogs and large spiders coming to attack you? Because that will happen. So run. Hide. Grab a pickaxe and swing it wildly. Just try not to die too much. On the bright side, looks like at some point that day you'll also stumble across a makeshift radio just for you, meaning you can finally share your sorrows via crackly audio transmissions.
Day three! Loud engine noises! Another part of the mine! Stone! Metal! An icy lake! Watch your steps there, by the way. Oh, and add gigantic worms to the list of things out to get you. But hey, have fun exploring. And again, try to keep the dying to a minimum.
On the fourth day everything stays the same. You won't discover any new areas, but the old monsters are still out to get you. And slowly, very slowly, you start wondering about that one question in your life you could never find an answer to. That one thing you've been dying to know, that one piece of information that, if you could somehow find it, would make suffering through the ordeal in this underground nightmare worth it. And just then, just at the end of that fourth day, another explosion shakes the earth, revealing a passage that will lead you to a door.
And on the fifth day you are alone. The areas you discovered between the first and third day will be blocked by fallen debris, all you have left is the small area around that door and a corridor leading to an incinerator. At least all the monsters are gone. Then again, so are all the people. It doesn't matter if you were together all this time, if held hands with them just five seconds ago, on the fifth day they will disappear, and all you'll have is your own company, a steadily weakening radio signal... and the door. And that is when you'll know: If you open that door you will find your answer.
...Of course what actually happens is this: If your character decides to open the door on the fifth day they will hear the scream of a familiar voice. They won't find its source, but they might discover that the incinerator is now burning. They can also go through the door, and down a bunch of stairs, but what they'll find at the bottom won't be their answer: It will be the dead body of one of the people closest to them in Wonderland. Congratulations, by opening the door your character has killed them!
Should your character not have a pressing question in their life, or decide to resist the door for whatever reason, they will simply spend the fifth day waiting the event out, and watch everything returning to normal on day number six.

[ November 22nd - 25th ] There will be a safe haven set aside for you: I fear it may be difficult to find
Translation?: Good morning, Wonderland, and welcome to the West Georgia Correctional Facility. The Mansion has become a giant prison; each floor is a cell block, each room is a cell. Outside, the grounds are gone and instead of the beach, there's now a quarry with a reservoir where people can fish. The woods remain and at the center of the woods is a farm with a small farm house. The farm is a sort of safe zone, with a working functioning magical closet (which aren't to be found in the prison).
Why do we need a safe zone, you ask?
Because of the walkers, of course. They're everywhere. Individually, they're weak and unintelligent, but in large numbers, they're quite dangerous. And they outnumber the living about 5000 to 1.
As if zombies weren't enough, the Mansion's residents have lost any powers they might have had.
Still not enough? Each day of the event is a different season. The first day is the normal fall weather, while the second day plunges into mid-winter. The third day warms up into spring and the fourth day cycles into summer. When the event ends, the weather goes back to late fall, as befits the date.
Naturally, any deaths during this event are Mansion deaths.
